Fertilizer is very common and important in farmville 2. You can give fertilizer to your plant and trees to give extra product at harvest time. Fertilizing a plant or a tree grants you 1 XP. So use it wisely.
Now lets talk about how to get fertilizer. Some animals may give player fertilizer when fed and each time player feed an animal that Fertilizer Bin gain one point. At one point when 40 point are gathered, Fertilizer Bin can be harvested for 12 fertilizer. Some animals give 3 points to the fertilizer bin when fed. Only the large ones like cows and horses, but I'm not sure if every single one does. Also Pygmy goats are the best bang for your buck when it comes to fertilizer.
